Mother-ease Review and Giveaway

I love cloth diapers.  I really do.  I have a few tried and true favorites, most of them are all-in-one's or pockets just for the ease of use.  I used WAHM-made fitteds with Talker Man and seem to have steered clear of them for Tiny Man and his super pee powers because they just don't stand up to a level that is needed.

I had heard of Mother-ease Cloth Diapers online, on one message board or another and decided to check them out!  When I was offered the opportunity to try out the items in the Small Sandy's Introductory Offer, I was excited to see how it would hold up on Mr. Tiny Man and his super pee powers!

Included was a Small Sandy's diaper, a Small Sandy's absorbent liner and an Air Flow Snap Cover.  I decided to put this on him for nap time, as a pretty ultimate test in our house!  (As usual, I apologize for the not-so-wonderful pictures, the flash didn't do a very good job on these and the room was semi-dark in preparation for nap time!)

As you can see, the fit is nice and trim, I really like that, especially now that he's trying to become more and more mobile.  The diaper went on VERY easily, we've never used a side snap style before and I have to say, I think it fits better than a front snap or Aplix closure!  We got the small size, it fits babies from 8-20 pounds, which is AMAZING in my eyes!  It's basically a small and a medium all wrapped up in one diaper.

It fits great on his legs, he doesn't have huge chunker legs, but he's certainly not completely chicken-legged like his big brother ;)  This is a bit of a more close up view of the side snaps, they don't bother him and seem to help the diaper fit along his belly better.

I think I got the cover a little big...I chose a medium because that would fit him in weight, but he doesn't fit into it quite right yet.  It's just a little bulky, it seems to be a great cover as far as helping keep his bed dry!  I like that the cover allows air to move around (thanks to the double side snaps) and doesn't seal the wetness to his skin.  His skin can breathe because the air can get in and circulate a bit without him going coverless.  This is great in the summer when skin can be so sensitive to heat!

We went an entire 2 hour nap with no leaks, he was wet when he got up and the diaper was pretty heavy!  That's a good thing because it means it managed to absorb it all (it holds 15 oz of liquid!  Not many diapers give an actual absorbency amount).  We've been very happy with this diaper and I definitely want to recommend it to you, I really think it's worth checking out if you have the chance!

Buy It!

You can purchase Mother-ease diapers directly from their website.  The Sandy's range in price from $11.75 (for the regular and unbleached cotton) to $14.75 (for the organic cotton).  There is a wide variety of colors available too, they have more than just white diapers!  The Air Flow covers are $12.25 for the regular sizes and $13.95 for the extra large (35-45 lbs).

I love the fact they have a breathable cover. I dont use PUL on my DD because it just doesnt breath, and she needs the air or she turns red, fast. I also love that she developed this for her own use, on her own children and that the company is still around :)

I love that their diapers are breathable. I bet that leads to a lot less diaper rash. I'd love to give one a try.

I learned that the company was created by a mom seeking various solutions to common cloth diapering problems and her husband now runs it with her. The have 5 boys, so they have plenty of experience!
