Libman Freedom Spray Mop Review and Giveaway

I hate mopping.  It's, quite honestly, one of my least favorite chores around the house.  I could mop every day and you probably wouldn't be able to tell.  There are the sticky spots that you clean up, let the floors dry and the kids come in, and 10 minutes later there's a new one in a new spot.  There's the nights when hubby makes dinner and, well, have you seen some of those messy kitchen commercials?  They ring a little TOO true at our house.

We've tried several kinds of mops, from the typical sponge style to quick mops with the one-time-use spray bottles and disposable pads, to our steam mop (the one that WAS getting the most use).  As much as I liked the convenience of spray mops, I hated how fast you go through both spray and the replaceable pads.  It seems so wasteful!

The first thing I noticed, straight out of the box, was that it was lightweight, but not "cheap" feeling.  It's solidly built, but very lightweight and easy to handle.  The washable pads go on easily with a type of hook & loop material.  (And they put the hook side on the actual mop so that when you wash the pad it doesn't stick to anything and everything in the washer, I was VERY happy to find that out!)  I also love that the spray mechanism is by trigger and not battery, there's less waste and expense that way too!

The major, major plus to this mop is the idea that you can use ANY cleaner in this spray mop!  You can use anything from a natural based cleaner or homemade cleaner to a commercial buy-it-off-the-shelf type cleaner.  Additionally, the cleaner cartridge comes off easily so you don't have to keep track of a special funnel or anything to refill your mop.

I found the Libman Freedom Spray Mop to be very easy to use and I know it will be seeing a ton of use in our house!  It's so easy to grab when I see a small sticky mess, clean it up (no bending over with a spray cleaner and paper towels for this getting-huge pregnant mama!) and go about the day.  I can leave the pad on all day for small messes and just wash it up when the day is done.  It saves me time and money and helps the environment out a bit too!
