Have you guys heard of Paybox yet?  I just learned about it last night, and it sounds pretty awesome to me so far!  All you need is an email address to create your account, no bank info, no credit card info, and they'll put $50 in your account!  Right now they're also giving $5 for each person that signs up under your link, so if anyone wants to check it out and wants to use my link, it would be greatly appreciated!  In the long run, it's going to be a PayPal-like online system, but right now it's still in beginning modes.  They're "paying" for you to do surveys, subscribe to their blog, and just to log in!

Something just for ME!

 I'm so excited, I REALLY can't hide it, lol.  Hubby got a little bit of grant money back from school, and he came home with this for me!!!  Now, I've been using a boxy, older than dirt little monitor for years.  The colors were starting to go funny and when you work 8-12 hours a day staring at something and the colors start to go, it's enough to make you crazy.  I'm in loooovee with my new toy.  It's crazy big, that's going to make transcribing so much more enjoyable, to be able to see it all and have multiple windows open without having to pop back and forth, oh man.  I just had to share!  :)

Apple Orchard Adventure!

It's that time of year again!!  On Friday, the boys and I headed off to the apple orchard with my mom and sister.  It's become a tradition!  We go, pick apples, take them back to their house to peel, core and cut them for applesauce and freezing.  This year, the boys and I couldn't stick around for the latter, unfortunately I had to work!  Talker Man had an absolute blast and Tiny Man got to experience his first whole apple!  We handed it to him for pictures and he decided to try it out for himself.  He loved it, until I ate the skin off for him and then it wasn't as exciting or tasty, apparently.  ;)

Here are a few pictures of our "ah-venture!"  (My sister is carrying Talker Man in our beloved Ergo, I'm getting too big around to be comfortable with the additional weight.  I can't wait to use it again, it's still my favorite carrier!  She's never worn him before and loved how comfortable it was!)

Let George Clean It! Review and Giveaway

The George Foreman brand has become a household name, mostly for the amazing grills, but did you know he also has all natural, earth friendly cleaners??  There are several different types, but we had the opportunity to try the "Grills and More," which really does as it says.  It cleaned our grill with ease and is also great for the counter tops, stove, just about anything you can think of that needs cleaning!  (We only used it in the kitchen, but you can also use it in the bathroom, laundry room, etc.  It is said to work even on carpet and laundry stains!)

As you can see, they have these awesome little scrubbies that get down in those grill grooves easily (my pet peeve of cleaning a favorite household appliance).  See that refill style bottle?  Guess how many refills is in there?  There's enough solution in that bottle to make EIGHT 32-ounce spray bottles worth of cleaner!  I was shocked!  Hubby made up our initial bottle and when I saw that on the side, I believe I said, "Is that serious??  You can make 8 bottles with that one bottle?" 

But back to the subject!  I really liked this as a cleaner, it has a nice lime scent that I loved, hubby not so much, but not everybody likes that scent.  We both agreed that it's a good cleaner, it did everything we wanted it to do, including cleanup of the microwave, stove, counters, sink and grill!

Another laid back Sunday

I promise, that picture post is still coming! I got busy with work yesterday and didn't quite get to it. It's worth it, I assure you!

Apples on the brain!

I woke up at 7:30 this morning to Talker Man yelling out for me.  At first it was just, "Mommy, Mommy!"  Nothing out of the ordinary there.  I stumbled into his room so he wouldn't wake up the baby and said, "What??"  Then I noticed that his eyes were still closed.  "Mommy, I need my apple!  Go get my apple!  I need my apple!"  I simply bent down, kissed his head and said, "Okay, I'll get your apple."  And quietly walked out of the room.  He's even a major talker when he's sleeping!  I always say he talks 24/7, usually the night talking is just mumbles, this morning it made relative sense since we'd gotten a bunch of apples yesterday!  (He's just like his Daddy, shhhh!  I can hold conversations with him in his sleep, bahaha.)

Teaser to the picture post coming later of our apple picking adventure yesterday!  Absolutely adorable, if I do say so myself. ;)

Labor Day Sunday

It's not quite Labor Day, but we're relaxing today anyway!  I have to work this afternoon, hospitals can't take the holiday off.  ;) That means we couldn't get up to the lake today with the rest of the family, so we're having a lazy pajama day.  Just hanging out.  At the moment, Tiny Man is snoozing away, Talker Man is watching a movie with Daddy, and me?  Well, I think that's obvious!  I don't really have much to post about today, I'm linking up to yet another hop that I've never linked up to before...I'm having a hop happy weekend!  If you're stopping by, please say hello and tell me what your plans are for the weekend!

Himalayan Salt Lamp Review and Giveaway

If I say, "salt lamp" what is the first thing that pops into your head?  Right, probably not something this beautiful!  I had heard about salt lamps in passing and decided to look into them...see what they're really about!

I found the Himalayan Salt Shop and they have a TON of information and available products!  Let me tell you, there's more to these lamps than meets the eye!  I'm going to share what their website says on the subject, because who better to hear it from than the site itself?

What is a Salt Lamp? 

* These salt lamps are made of natural Himalayan crystal salt mined from underground salt mines in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains
* The beautiful orange-reddish Himalayan crystal salt is mounted on a wooden base

The thing that really caught my attention was the electro-smog bit...I sit in front of this screen 8+ hours a day and I find that interesting.  I can't say whether or not the lamp I was sent for review has improved our air quality or anything, but I can say that it's beautiful and I love having it on!!  I feel more relaxed while I'm working, whether that is from the lamp itself or the relaxing ambiance, take your pick, your not so scientific guess is as good as mine!

As you can see, it has a prominent spot on my desk next to the monitor.  An added bonus, I can use it as a little nightlight for Tiny Man since his room and my office are one and the same ;)  It was VERY easy to assemble, it came in 2 pieces (not including the light bulb).  I put the bulb in, snapped the bulb section into the base and plugged it in, super simple!  It has an on/off switch on the cord, so I don't have to fumble around under my desk to unplug it, a HUGE plus in my book!
