lifenest sleeping system

Having a newborn again, even though it hasn't been that long since the LAST time I had one, really makes me think about sleep safety.  Every time I lay Little Miss Princess down for a nap or at night, I think about where I'm putting her, I check to make sure no stray toys had assistance hopping into the bed and that there are no blankets around. When she's not swaddled, she likes to do her best to flop onto her belly already, so I have to check on her more periodically than I did the boys.  She sleeps so much better on her belly, but I'm always worried about her not being able to breathe very well or spitting up and having a mess in her face.

When I read about the lifenest sleeping system, I knew I had to check it out because it addresses the exact anxieties I have about Little Miss Princess' sleeping!

"In an effort to keep your baby safe, the LifeNest Sleeping System was created to relieve everyday common anxieties for parents of a newborn. Created by renowned ear, nose and throat specialist, Dr. Jose Bensoussan, ubiMED’s patented LifeNest was specifically designed to ensure the highest level of comfort and safety. The LifeNest fits securely on any standard crib and is easily portable for parents on the go.

The LifeNest mesh hammock cradles the baby, maintaining the recommended baby-on-back sleeping position, while allowing unrestricted movements. The breathable hammock allows the baby to breathe freely even if he/she turns accidentally on his/her tummy. A second hammock is built into the mattress cover, reinforcing strength and safety. The tight fitting mattress cover prevents mattress cover entrapment risk. A second hammock reinforced the one on the adjustable seat and the ventilation channels allow a free airflow.

The LifeNest Sleeping System is a product with many benefits. It is designed to reduce the chances of suffocation, prevent overheating, reduce sweating, keep your baby dry, and most importantly provide comfort for your newborn."

This product is awful!!! I just purchased it and was so excited to put my 2 month old baby to sleep on it. First of all, my baby kept waking up every 2 hours and the baby had slid down the lifenest!! Then I put the baby back to sleep, 2 hours later I heard screams from the abby, ran to the nursery and my baby was literally on the other end of the crib, face down off of the lifenest!! The incline on this thing is crazy! It's like a slide for the baby and the "hammick" thing in the middle is small and hard and awful! This thing is a total waste of money!!

"This is the most amazing product I have ever purchased. I was looking for something exactly like this when I had my first child a few months ago. I was so nervous as a first-time mother, that my baby would suffocate or overheat while he was sleeping in his crib. I foudn this sleep system which allowed him to sleep safely and in turn took away my worries about him suffocating in his sleep. I knew my son was safe everytime I put him in his crib, thanks to the LifeNest!"
