#Bridemaids: A Girls Night In

Yet another post that was delayed thanks to my lovely computer and internet issues...but I digress!

With the recent release of the movie Bridesmaids to DVD and Blu Ray on September 20, you better believe I had a girls night in with a few close friends!  Here's a little sneak peek to the bigger event post still to come!

Using online invites and some fabulous party supplies, delicious food, and a hilarious new movie with games afterwards, it was a great night to stay in and reconnect!

CostumeSuperCenter.com Review

It's that time of year again, isn't it?  Halloween 2011 is right around the corner and the kiddos are getting excited for trick or treating! With a pair of little boys who are completely infatuated with Batman and Robin, two of my three are prepared and know what they want to dress up as! I did a quick search online and found CostumeSuperCenter.com.  Their store name describes the site to a T! Just about anything you can possibly imagine or want to dress up to be can be found on their website! Love it! I knew what I was looking for, super hero boys costumes, and I found exactly that!

My little "Tiny Man" fits perfectly in this Teen Titan Robin Costume in size 2T-4T!  I have to comment that the sizing is closer to 2T than 4T.  Talker Man is in about a 4T and can't squeeze into it at all, whatsoever.  I love that the cape is removable -- he loves it on, but some kids may not and having it be an option is great!  He's been wearing it quite a bit, he loves the costume and runs up and down the hallway saying "Na, na, na, Batman!"

The quality is decent, and it IS washable.  I ran it through cold/delicate and hung it to dry and didn't have any issues.  This is way more than a Halloween costume, it's a dress up outfit for a little boy! At $22.99, it's fairly priced, especially since we'll use it for more than one day!

Halloween is coming...do you have a costume??

Halloween is just over a month away, as I'm sure you're all well aware! Are you planning a party? Are you going to a party? Staying in for a party? Well then, you probably need a costume! Kids costumes are pretty easy (and yes, I have a kid costume post coming later!) but what about one for you? It can be a little more difficult if you aren't already creative with an idea in mind! I found some super cute ideas on EdenFantasys.com, and no, they're not all "bad" costumes! Some are, obviously, but there are some pretty "normal" ones on there too! Take this trouble at school costume, for instance! It's reversible so you're pretty much getting two options in one costume.

There are lots of other ones, from pirates to vampires and more! You'll have to check them out for yourself though because I don't want to make it uncomfortable for anyone to read my blog with kiddos around. Don't forget, open the links when there aren't little eyes watching! They're pretty reasonably priced too, and many of the pages have written reviews and/or video reviews so you can see what other people think of the material quality, sizing, etc, before you place your order!

Moon Dough (New Formula!) Ocean Pals Review

We tried Moon Dough once. I swore, never again would I let it in my house.  When I had the opportunity to try the new and improved Moon Dough, I was wary, to say the least.  The crumby mess that I swore would never enter my house possibly gaining entry by no fault but my own?  Yikes!

Well, now I'm glad I decided to give it another chance!  We got to try the new and improved Moon Dough in this absolutely adorable Ocean Pals set!  This set contains 2 colors of Moon Dough and 4 little molding "thingies" (3 push 'n pop molds and a twist mold) along with the background scene board to help little imaginations run wild!  Talker Man was sooo excited to try it out that we opened it the minute the package arrived!  It even made a trip to Grandma's house so everyone there could check it out too.

I very much like this new Moon Dough, it doesn't dry out, it stays together (we haven't had trouble with crumbling) and it's easy to use!  My favorite part is that it doesn't dry out.  Honestly.  Sometimes we walk away from the play table and forget that we had a fun project out, and with Moon Dough there's no worry that it'll be dried out and hard by the time we remember to put it away!  There's been no trouble with it sticking in the carpet either, thank goodness.

Talker Man already has a couple of other sets he wants to try, and I can easily consider them as possibilities with this version of Moon Dough.  This is a fabulous improvement, thank you Moon Dough!!

**In addition to never drying out, Moon Dough is hypoallergenic and wheat free!  Fabulous for sensitive kiddos!  Recommended for ages 3+**

Horrible Blogger..

My apologies times a million! First the keyboard issues and now this.  I don't have reliable internet and it's been absolutely awful.  I AM coming back, it's just really hard to get posts written right now trying to flip flop between two computers.  I'm doing my best, if anyone wants to donate to the "fix the computer with internet issues" fund, my Paypal is...
