Morphology Board Game #Review
Morphology is a board game of creativity and imagination for ages 13+. There are a lot of board games out there and many of them are culturally specific and can "get old" so to speak, because they're based on pop culture or a fad. Not so with Morphology! It uses a player's creativity and imagination to life!
To play Morphology, you must first divide into teams. (This game is for 4+ players, perfect for family game night!) You then choose a word from the deck and use the included shapes and pieces build the word. It's your teammates' "job" to figure out your word based on what you built, within the time provided. If they guess correctly, you move your team frog forward one lily pad. The team to get to the end first is declared the winner!
This game comes with a bunch of various building materials. There's a wooden barrel, wooden sticks, black circles, glass beads, cubes, wooden "people" and some string. Not included? The imagination to come up with how you're going to best build your word!
I LOVE this, it's a great way to get minds working without TV or video games. As the kids get bigger, it's definitely going to be in a game night rotation! Are your kids younger like mine are? No worries! Morphology Junior is on it's way! Look for it in June -- with 35 pieces and 400 words set for the 8+ age group, it sounds like it could be a bit easier for the younger crowd!
Look for Morphology on Facebook and Twitter, and find the game at Barnes and Noble or directly from Morphology Games for $24.99!
