Miracle-Gro Expand 'n Go Concentrated Planting Mix

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have a bit of a brown thumb.  Okay, two brown thumbs.  I don't have much luck with planting, but when I do try, I do things in containers.  I live in an apartment -- we have a huge balcony, which is GREAT and every year I tell myself I'm going to get some flowers or veggies growing out there and every year, I don't get it done.

I think with a little help from Miracle Gro and their new Expand ‘n Gro™ planting mix, my plants might have a short this year!  Miracle Gro Expand 'n Gro is different from basic potting and garden soils. Because it’s a unique blend of Miracle‐Gro plant food and coconut coir fiber, a compact, lightweight, easy‐to‐carry and easy‐to‐store bag of Expand ‘n Gro can do everything a big, heavy bag of soil can do, only better. This concentrated planting mix expands up to 3 times when mixed with water, feeds plants for up to 6 months, makes native soil more workable and retains up to 50% more moisture than basic potting soil!

If I'm understanding that correctly, the planting mix retains up to 50% more moisture than your basic potting soil and releases the water as plants need it, helping prevent over or under watering!  Perfect for me!  I don't always remember to water, and I"m always worried I'm over-doing it on my poor plants.  I'm sort of convinced the watering aspect is the one I have the most trouble with.

Check out this clip to better "see" how this planting mix works!

What's your favorite thing to plant?  Are you the kind of person who can get anything to grow or are you more like me?  Maybe you're right in the middle!  Feel free to share your planting experiences or possible horror stories!
