Young Justice Invasion: Destiny Calling Season 2, Part 1

Join Young Justice and watch them battle villains and fight crime in a 2-disc 10 episode collection!

For the Young Justice squad being a teenager means proving yourself over and over — to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and, ultimately, to yourself. But what if you’re not just a normal teenager? What if you’re a teenage super hero? How much harder will it be to prove yourself in a world of super powers, super villains and super secrets? Are you ready to come of age in such a world? Are you ready for life or death rites of passage? Are you ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? That’s exactly what the members of Young Justice — Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis — will find out … whether they have what it takes to be a proven hero.

The latest season of the critically acclaimed series jumps ahead in time 5 years to re-introduce the original squad as well as all new members Nightwing, Wondergirl, Blue Beetle, Batgirl, and Beast Boy as they fight off a secret alien invasion affecting the entire planet.

What we thought:  The boys were super excited when we came home and found this package resting next to the door!  It's been a bit since we got a "super hero" DVD to check out and they were dismayed to learn that we'd gotten home just before bedtime and they were going to have to wait until the next day to watch it.  First thing the next morning, they got me out of bed with the idea that we were going to plant ourselves in front of the tv for a little bit.  Sooo, watch it we did!  Talker Man kept going on about the new characters that he'd never seen before (Beast Boy and Blue Beetle were his favorite).  He really liked that there were two discs and 10 total episodes.  It's not something we were able to watch straight through, attention spans aren't that long, but we thoroughly enjoyed watching it over the course of a couple of days!

This is to be released tomorrow (January 22, 2013), but as always you can preorder it through Amazon!

Love having the episodes as a collection. Makes it so much more convenient for watching as we often miss watching on television due to schedules, activities, and so on. My sons would love this, will have to check it out!
