Having my little princess after two boys means I'm still taking every advantage to dress her up that I can. Sometimes she agrees, sometimes she doesn't. ;) One thing I've noticed I seem to run into issues with are the prices of most "pretty" "fancy" special occasion clothes. They generally cost SO much, and they're only worn a time or two! I can't really justify that and as she gets bigger, it gets a little harder to find cute used outfits (probably for the same reasons I mentioned!).
I was actually really excited to learn about Wearhop, though I may have cringed a little too. Wearhop is an online clothing rental website for little ones! (I cringed at the thought of keeping the outfit nice for return, but then I thought about it a little more and realized her fancy clothes look just as nice now as they did when I bought them.)
Wearhop carries clothing sizes 12 month to 4T, so Little Miss wearing a 3 fit in perfectly! Wearhop has a great selection of brands to choose from, such as crewcuts, mini Boden, Janie & Jack, Hanna Andersson, Lilly Pulitzer, Tea Collection and more. I admire these brands from a distance and from online window shopping, but REALLY can't afford them. For this reason, Wearhop really is an awesome option for us!
You can rent Wearhop's clothes for one to six months and they can also be purchased at the end of the rental period. When a child is done wearing the clothes, simply send them back, which makes the concept environmentally conscious! (Did you know that an average American throws out more than 50lbs. of clothing per year?)
Shipping is $5 flat rate, and that includes the return shipping. Just keep the packaging, put the included label on, and send them back when your rental period is up!
I was able to choose 3 adorable dresses for the upcoming special occasions she has going in the holiday months. She wasn't too excited about the idea of photos, so please bear with me.
This babyGap Rosette Tulle dress makes her truly look like a little princess. The photo couldn't quite capture it, but it's GORGEOUS. (And machine washable!) The beautiful, intricate rosettes and tulle overlay skirt make it perfect for Christmas pictures and a party or two! Retail price would be $60, but the price I paid for 3 months of Wearhop was $28. That's HALF the price and she'll wear it for the exact same amount of time that she would if I'd bought it new.
This fun Janie & Jack Rosette Stripe Dress is actually a little big, but it's nice and thick for the upcoming cooler weather. The first time she wore it, she didn't want to take it off, so I think it'll be an everyday fall staple. This one retails for $49. The Wearhop price for 2 months was $17.
What we thought!
I was really impressed with the site and the quality of the clothes is absolutely perfect. I placed my order and the shipping was VERY fast, it was in my mailbox just a few days later. We haven't gone through the return process yet, but it seems very simple and straightforward. I'm glad to have been able to get her some holiday outfits and I'll DEFINITELY be keeping Wearhop in mind for next year too!
One lucky winner is going to receive $100 Wearhop credit to try the site and process out for yourself!
